Mike Hansen

Mike has 25 years of experience successfully starting, acquiring and managing small businesses.  In addition to being a business investor, Mike serves on the Board of Directors of several Milwaukee area organizations, including Waterstone Bank where he is also chair of the Audit Committee.

Mike spent 13 years at Arthur Andersen, the last seven of which were with Andersen’s Small Business Division, providing audit, tax and M&A advisory services to small business clients.

Mike is a certified public accountant and earned his degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Mike lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife.

 

Joe Zvesper

Joe is an Executive Vice Chairman of Duff & Phelps Corporation, a global valuation and corporate finance advisor. Joe was appointed to this role after Duff & Phelps acquired American Appraisal where he was the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer focusing on strategy development and implementation.  American Appraisal is a leading global consulting firm providing valuation and related advisory services through its global network of 900 employees operating from 60 offices in 25 countries.

Prior to joining American Appraisal in 1993 as Executive Vice President & CFO, Joe held various senior consulting and practice development positions with Price Waterhouse.  He has extensive experience in the mergers & acquisitions arena both as an advisor and investor.

Joe is a certified public accountant and earned his degree in Accounting and Economics from Carroll University.

Joe lives in Milwaukee.

 

Jake Hansen

As a Principal of Jacsten Holdings, Jake is responsible for initiating investment opportunities and participating in the team’s due diligence efforts.   Jake also plays an active role in structuring and negotiating all transactions.  After an acquisition, Jake is responsible for working closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute on a strategic plan to create shareholder value.  Jake is also an active participant on portfolio company Advisory Boards.

Prior to joining Jacsten, Jake was in the Investment Banking department at Robert W. Baird & Co. where he provided M&A and equity financing advisory services in the middle-market.

Prior to Baird, Jake was a Manager in the Transaction Services practice of KPMG. In this capacity, he provided M&A consulting and financial due diligence services to private equity and strategic clients considering potential mergers, acquisitions or divestitures.

Before KPMG, Jake was in the commercial audit practice at Deloitte where he led daily operations on audit teams responsible for understanding clients’ businesses, providing technical accounting insight, and evaluating risk management and internal control practices.

Jake is a certified public accountant and earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Jake lives in Shorewood with his wife and three children.

 

J.P. Zvesper

Prior to joining Jacsten, J.P. was the Director of Corporate Development at Duncan Solutions in Milwaukee.  At Duncan, J.P. led the development of the Company’s M&A strategy as well as the identification and evaluation of potential targets.  J.P. also led the U.S. based efforts to evaluate potential strategic alternatives for Duncan.

Prior to Duncan, J.P. was a member of Investment Banking team at Robert W. Baird & Co. in Chicago.  At Baird, J.P. was responsible for providing analytical support on mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings and other financial advisory services.

J.P. earned his degree in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

J.P. lives in Elm Grove with his wife and two children.

 

Stephen Hansen

As a Principal of Jacsten Holdings, Stephen is responsible for initiating investment opportunities and participating in the team’s due diligence efforts.   Stephen also plays an active role in structuring and negotiating all transactions.  After an acquisition, Stephen is responsible for working closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute on a strategic plan to create shareholder value.  Stephen is also an active participant on portfolio company Advisory Boards.

Prior to joining Jacsten, Stephen worked in AT&T’s Corporate Development Group and at Dallas Venture Partners.

Prior to receiving his MBA, Stephen worked at GE Healthcare in Milwaukee as a development engineer in the Magnetic Resonance business unit where he focused on the cooling systems for MRI scanners.

Stephen earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA, with a focus in Finance, from Southern Methodist University.

Stephen lives in Wauwatosa with his wife and two daughters.
